Doctrines

Adventist doctrine grows from Scripture and points consistently to the character and saving work of God.

God and faith

We know God through Jesus Christ and through the Bible, inspired by the Holy Spirit. Faith means trusting God and receiving His gift of salvation in an active, growing relationship.

The Bible and the gospel

The Bible reveals who God is, how sin has affected humanity, and how God acts to save. The centre of its message is the gospel: through Christ’s death and resurrection, people are invited back into love, trust, and eternal life with God.

Creation and Sabbath

God created the world with purpose and gave the seventh-day Sabbath as a continuing invitation to remember, worship, and rest in the One who creates and saves.

The return of Jesus

Adventists look forward to the promised return of Jesus without setting dates. At His return, those who trusted God will be raised to life and share the future He has prepared.

Baptism and Christian commitment

Baptism by immersion publicly expresses a person’s decision to follow Jesus. Christian life then continues through worship, obedience, service, spiritual growth, and the communication of hope.
